Unbridled Acres Events

Unbridled Acres is home to several special events and group sessions throughout the year. 2016 has already been busy! We have hosted Girl Scouts as well as private groups. The calendar is filling up. Contact us for more information.

In 2015, we offered sessions for Children of Divorce, the T.R.A.C Academy for girls, the "Get Off the Couch!" summer women's retreat, the "I'm OK...even when life isn't" fall women's retreat, and the Greatness Academy for students at Omaha South HIgh School.

Blair Team Mates , under the direction of Ann Hackerott, visited Unbridled Acres. Mentors and Mentees spent the afternoon with the horses learning about communication, patience and team work. It was a great day at the Farm!

Patiently coaching a shy boy to figure out how to put a halter on a horse -she knew how to bring him from "I can't" to "I can't believe I did that". With each activity there was a life lesson, with each challenge, cheers from the students and mentors. I

learned I can ask for help said a quiet girl. The ultimate lesson was don't run from challenge. Never had a more transforming Teammates experience and mentors said they too learned a lot. Sue Miller-Harsin is a loving, fun,dynamic teacher and it was focused on safety. Beautiful location. We need to get you folks at Central Office out there to see this. I didn't know, had not seen, but now I'm convinced this is a must do!"
